1. Donations Are Voluntary
All donations made through the Check On Your Mom ("COYM") website, fundraising pages, or affiliated campaigns are voluntary and non-refundable. By donating, you acknowledge that the contribution is made without expectation of goods, services, or personal benefit in return.
2. Use of Funds
Your donation supports our mission to provide caregiver tools, emotional support, cancer awareness resources, and to develop future hospice and healing programs in memory of Sherina Anderson. We reserve the right to allocate funds as needed across programs to maximize impact.
3. Tax Deductibility
Check On Your Mom is currently in the process of applying for formal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Until IRS determination is granted, donations may not be tax-deductible. Once approved, we will retroactively notify all donors eligible for a tax deduction from the effective date of exemption.We recommend consulting your tax advisor for questions regarding deductibility.
4. Receipts
For donations over $250, a confirmation email will be issued with the contribution amount, date, and method of payment. Please retain this for your records. If you do not receive your receipt, contact us at

5. No Refunds on Donations
Due to the nature of our fundraising and mission-driven programming, all donations are final. If you believe your donation was made in error, please contact us within 48 hours of the transaction.
